This is our second toilet bowl night light, the previous one probably saw too much xxxx and just gave up after a few of years of steady servive. So we bought a new one. After all the price isn’t too demanding. I agree, that a properly lighted toilet is important, after all you want to know what’s going on down there. My wife for example has a severe form of arachnophobia, and those familiar will know there is nothing more terrifying than the thought of an eight-legged friend under your bum at night! And there is of course our youngest who likes to have a nightly potty-run but we would avoid waking him up at all cost. So there is a no-lights policy except for this little led lamp that perfectly guides him to the drop off point. So perhaps there is an issue with durability, but a life span of a couple of years for a cheap electronic device in such demanding conditions is still good. The only things I struggle with the most are i.) that’s actually a somewhat sizeable unseeming unit - contemporary electronics and batteries could result in a much flatter design, perhaps 20% the size of the 1990’s platic box that now hangs on our bowl. ii.) the lamp stem folds loosely around the top rimp of your bowl, but its never tightly fixed.

I have to leave my bedroom door ajar for the cat so the bathroom light going on constantly wakes me up. This little light is a game changer. Unfortunately it didn’t fit my wide bowl toilet so i hooked it on the radiator and will have to hook it somewhere else when it’s on but it lights up the bathroom, or sturdy and so easy to hook up.

This is a great item for every household regardless of age. It works as a nightlight and a target illuminator. I have been able to turn off the hall light as this gives enough light to see the way to the bathroom without tripping on a dog toy. I have purchased many of these for my house and for gifts. It works good for older people, providing a bit of guidance in the dark. I've even taken (and left them) on vacations. A family member has an RV, it was a perfect addition. There are so many color choices. It can be set to just one color or change through many. I would like to give a heads up though ... Be aware the red color in the toilet can alarm guests.

I bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer this year and he loved it. Our “water closet” doesn’t have an outlet for a nightlight so getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom was a pain because you have to turn the big, bright light on. But with this it gives enough light so you can see without turning on the light! Highly recommended.
